KASTAR 988 is a super tough, stainless, elastic construction and installation adhesive. It is excellent for heavy uses with first adhesive & high hardness. It has instant & permanent adhesion – hybrid technology, a moisture cure seal with high ranges.

- It shows an excellent adhesion value of approximately 1400 psi for the initial adhesion.
- Ideal for both internal and external applications, extremely robust, rapid, and simple to employ.
- It has excellent wetting characteristics and is non-porous on most substrates including those containing a good level of moisture content.
- Promotes early as well as short period setting, cures as well as ultimate strength gain strengths.
- Have high ultimate strength and mechanical resistance for making adhesive connections in the load-bearing structures.
- Superb paintability.
- No sagging, thixotropic suitable for overhead application.
- Non-corrosive to metals.
- It is compatible in direct contact with the silver layer on mirrors, and PVB laminated glass as an intermediary layer, therefore it was chosen.
- This system is time-tested and odorless, no adhesive will ever be needed here since it does not make bubbles and does not shrink as it cures.
- UV, weather, water, moisture, and aging resistance.
- It contains no isocyanate, solvents, or silicone in its composition.
- Staining and bleeding are none; edge contamination is not.
Application
- Cement, natural and other stones, marble, granite, affix and apply tile and other essential/absorbent surfaces.
- Construction adhesive for joinery, edges, parts, details, fascias, trims, insulation, paneling material, slats, beams, stones, tiles, and many other surfaces.
- Bolt and fix metal parts in roofs, walls, curtain systems, façade systems & cladding, containers, insulation ducts, trailers, automobiles, and shipbuilding.
