KASTAR 283 Fire Rated Acrylic Sealant – High Performance
Kastar 283 Acrylic FireStop Sealant is a single-component fire-rated non-sag acrylic sealant used mainly for construction joints and service penetration in plasterboard, concrete, and masonry walls. When it has set, Kastar 283 provides a flexible elastic seal that blocks the passage of fire, smoke, and sound. This one is the perfect solution for fire protection and sealing the sound and heat permanently to the building structures.

Acrylic sealant is a water-reducible sealant manufactured from acrylic resins, which are intended for sealing expansion and contraction joints in various construction materials. It dries quickly, hardening to a flexible, long-lasting, and water-resistant surface barrier in a short time. Designed for new construction and repair work, Trim Straight-Shot was particularly used near window and door sills, baseboards, and other awkward areas, as well as for minor cracks and holes in walls and ceilings. It comes in more than one color; it is packageable so that it can be painted once it is dry, and it is easy to apply and remove. This economical, high-performance sealant prevents both smoke and fire for up to 4 hours. It is non-toxic, and non-odor and can be used both indoors and outdoors, and can seal gaps up to 50mm.
